This 5 min dramatization, “What? No Gloves?” is provocative and funny with a steeping dose of truth in the mix. Use it to engage staff and create a space where ownership, ideas, and new awarenesses can flow.

If your work involves improving outcomes in patient safety, patient experience, workforce health and/or cost-effectiveness, please take a look. Feel free to use (and cite) in any teaching situ. One way to facilitate a session is to is to stop at the place where the questions arise: ‘Communications? Outcomes? What do you think will happen?”. This is at ~ [3 min]. Invite conversation about those questions and then watch the rest and then start talking about solutions! Challenge your group to rewrite the scenario with positive interactions. You might be surprised at what creative ideas your team has!

Also, feel free to incorporate a printout of this flyer on Giving and Receiving Constructive Feedback at Pedagogy.com.

If you’d like help improving the quality of interactions, please take a look at this flyer on Medical Improv that highlights my work with former Major League Baseball Pitcher, Jim Mecir and Corporate Trainer and Certified Applied Improvisor, Ellen Schnur.
